The Void is a fully immersive VR experience that partners with companies like Disney and LucasFilms to bring their stories to life. We were tasked with rethinking their brand within the scope of their consumer facing website and in-store employee check-in app. Additionally, we we’re able to create an interactive intro where users can explore the Omniverse which allowed us to highlight the origins of the brand identity. My Role
Lead UI designer - Tasked with visual direction of responsive web solution. Paired with a UX designer counterpart we took the project from discovery and concepting through to launch. Together we led a team of a production designer, one copywriter, six developers, and two QA.
The Project
The overall ask was to help customers better understand The VOID concept while elevating the brand to something that felt high-end. The project included a responsive website and an intricate ticketing system that would eventually be integrated into the site.
During discovery we identified a need to rework the customer check-in app to keep lines shorter and streamline the in-store experience.
Throught design and development, we would visit a location and invite customers to contribute to usability testing against each phase of the work. We then incorporated that feedback into prioritizing the new features we had backlogged.
